De opmerkelijke eigenschappen zijn de maatvastheid, de hoge temperatuurbestendigheid en het goede energiebesparende effect. Van geherkristalliseerd sic kunnen staven, holle balken, schuurplanken en speciaal gevormde onderdelen worden gemaakt. Halsic r heeft ook goede anti-oxidatie en anti-erosie eigenschappen, hoge hardheid en slijtvastheid.
