Rekristalizirani silicij-karbid ima dobru otpornost na visoke temperature u kerami\u010dkim proizvodima, koja se pove\u0107ava s porastom temperature. U su\u0161tini se ne skuplja. Istovremeno, rekrystalizirani silicij-karbid ima dobru toplotnu provodljivost, otpornost na toplotni \u0161ok, otpornost na oksidaciju i otpornost na koroziju od kiselina i baza. Od rekristaliziranog SiC-a mogu se izra\u0111ivati \u0161ipke, \u0161uplje grede, plo\u010de i dijelovi posebnih oblika. Halsic r tako\u0111er ima dobru otpornost na oksidaciju i eroziju, visoku tvrdo\u0107u i otpornost na habanje.
